What is Vedic Astrology (Jyotish)
Vedic astrology is one of the oldest forms of healing and learning there is. It not tells you where you are going, it tells you why are you going. Oftentimes it also tells you, with whom and usually it can tell why.
Vedic astrology, also known as Jyotisha, is a traditional system of astrology that originates from ancient India. It is considered one of the six Vedangas, or "limbs" of the Vedas, the ancient sacred texts of Hinduism. Vedic astrology focuses on the positions of celestial bodies and their influence on human affairs and natural events. It is based on a belief that the stars and planets have a direct effect on individuals' lives, their personality, relationships, and their overall life path.
The Vedic zodiac consists of 12 signs, much like Western astrology, but they are based on the sidereal system, which aligns with the fixed stars rather than the seasons. This results in the Vedic signs shifting by about 23 degrees compared to Western astrology. Traditionally Vedic astrology considers nine planets (Navagraha), which include not only the well-known planets like Mars, Venus, and Jupiter, but also two shadow planets, Rahu (North Node of the Moon) and Ketu (South Node of the Moon). These celestial bodies' positions in the sky at the time of a person's birth are key to interpreting their life events. The astrological chart is divided into 12 houses, each representing different areas of life, such as career, relationships, health, and spirituality. The planets' positions in these houses indicate various aspects of the individual's life.
Vedic astrology places great emphasis on the 27 Nakshatras, which are lunar constellations that represent subdivisions of the zodiac. These Nakshatras are used to analyze a person's personality, life events, and the timing of significant moments in their life. A unique feature of Vedic astrology is the Dasha system, a predictive tool that divides a person’s life into periods ruled by specific planets. Each planet’s influence is believed to govern different phases of a person’s life, and these periods are essential for timing important events.
Vedic astrology has a rich history that spans thousands of years. It is believed to have been passed down by ancient sages through oral tradition and was later written down in texts like the Vedanga Jyotisha and Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, both of which are foundational works in the field. The teachings of sages like Parashara and Jaimini continue to be influential. Over time, Vedic astrology expanded and became intertwined with other Indian philosophical systems, including the practice of Ayurveda (traditional medicine) and Vastu Shastra (architecture). The system of astrology is often used in conjunction with these disciplines for holistic life guidance.
In the modern times, Vedic astrology has spread beyond India. It is often sought out for predictions related to personal growth, career, relationships, and spiritual development, and has seen a resurgence due to its unique methods and insights into life’s cycles.

I explain what brought you to this life and shed light on what your soul is trying to accomplish in this life time. I tell you a bit about your previous lives and what you have been doing. I tell you about your recent karmas these past few years and why you are going through what you are going through. Then I aim to shed light on what is coming next.
Every reading is different. Every journey is unique. When I prepare your session I innocently look at you, where you have been and what your world has taken and what it has given. My devotion in this work is to bring ever person a bit closer to their own power and their own truth. I know this world is often overshadowing to our truest nature and too often we are severed from this powerful centre that allows the greatest fulfillment in life. I like to bring it to your attention and help you navigate your life with more power and understanding.
Most readings bring a form of clarity. The truth is often startling, but people know truth when they hear it - if it is about themselves and this truth brings healing. Nothing is quite as healing as seeing things as they are - because the truth is always beautiful. Nature is beautiful and our place therein is beautiful. That is how this science allows people healing, shedding layers of illusions allowing the light to enter.
